Launch
We are excited to come out of the shadows and launch Akima Charity to the public.
Akima was founded in 2024, by a international psychotherapist who has both lived and professional experience with loss due to knife crime, having a family member take a life, grooming, mental health, teenage parenting, supporting vulnerable young people and ADHD.
Coming from the streets of London our founder is committed to making a difference and has sought entrusted professional therapeutic trustees who are dedicated and committed to the Akima mission!

This partnership brings together organisations across Brent to improve mental health and wellbeing support for young adults. Whether you’re a parent, professional, or a young person referring yourself, we provide safe, non-judgemental spaces where healing and growth can begin.

A very special tribute to our beloved Rowan. Rowan Thomas- Williams who's senseless murder impacted and continues to impact the lives of many.
At the tender age of 20 years old and a new father, Rowan was tragically shot in 2013, in Michellbrook estate in Northwest London as he tried to defuse a confrontation between 2 men. No one was ever charged with his murder and his murder remains unsolved.
