Support
At Akima we support a range of therapeutic interventions for young people. Our 360 interventions are offered as an early intervention and longstanding solution. Services are provided by Akima Life CIC and consist of:

Mental Health Services
Healing Support, Rooted in Culture and Care
At Akima, we offer inclusive mental health services designed to meet you where you are. From counselling to expressive art therapy, our support is culturally aware, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion. Whether you're facing grief, navigating identity, or seeking emotional balance, Akima provides a safe space for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Intervention Services
Early Response. Lasting Impact.
Akima’s intervention services offer timely and tailored support for those facing crisis, trauma, or vulnerability. We provide advocacy, mentoring, family support, and therapeutic care—stepping in when it matters most. Our aim is to interrupt cycles of harm, rebuild trust, and open new paths to healing and possibility.

Mentoring Services
Guidance that Empowers. Support that Lasts.
At Akima, mentoring is more than advice — it’s about building trust, fostering growth, and creating space for change. Our mentors offer steady, non-judgemental support to help young people navigate challenges, build resilience, and realise their potential. Every step forward is taken together.

RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
Pathways to Healing and Resolution.
At Akima, we support young people in finding pathways to healing, accountability, and renewed connection.
Our restorative justice support creates safe spaces where individuals affected by harm or conflict can come together to rebuild trust, foster understanding, and repair relationships.
Through guided conversations and structured dialogue, we help young people move beyond blame, towards resolution and empowerment — because true healing honours every voice and every story.

Family Support Services
Supporting the Families Behind Every Young Person.
At Akima, we recognise that a young person’s wellbeing is deeply connected to the support they receive at home. Our Family Support Services are designed to strengthen the foundations around youth — offering tailored interventions that help families communicate better, navigate crisis, and heal together. From parent guidance to sibling support, we work to ensure that no young person walks their journey alone.

ADHD
Understanding Minds That Move Differently
At Akima, we recognise that ADHD is not simply a disorder — it’s a different way of experiencing and engaging with the world. Our ADHD services are designed to meet young people where they are, honouring their creativity, energy, and resilience. We offer therapeutic support, skills coaching, and emotional tools that help young people build self-awareness, regulate challenges, and lean into their strengths — without shame, without judgement. At Akima, we don’t aim to "fix" young minds; we aim to free them.

Grooming Awareness & Support Services
Protecting Young Minds from Silent Harm.
Grooming can be subtle, confusing, and deeply damaging. At Akima, we provide a safe space for young people to understand the signs, rebuild trust, and reclaim their power. Our Grooming Awareness & Support Services offer early intervention, therapeutic guidance, and trusted advocacy for those at risk or affected — because every young person deserves to feel safe, valued, and informed.

Skills Development Services
Building Confidence, One Skill at a Time.
At Akima, we believe every young person holds the potential to thrive. Our Skills Development Services are designed to unlock that potential through practical workshops, creative expression, and real-world training. From communication and problem-solving to digital tools and career readiness, we help young people grow the skills they need for life — with confidence, purpose, and pride.

Workshops
Safe Spaces to Learn, Grow, and Be Heard.
Our workshops offer more than just information — they’re interactive spaces for self-discovery, healing, and empowerment. Whether it’s emotional wellbeing, relationships, identity, or future goals, each session is designed to meet young people where they are. Led by trusted facilitators, our workshops encourage open conversation, creativity, and growth in a way that feels relatable, supportive, and real.

Advice, Support & Advocacy Services
Standing With You. Speaking Up For You.
Life gets heavy, and knowing where to turn can feel confusing. Our advice, support, and advocacy services exist to walk beside you — not in front, not behind. Whether you’re facing housing issues, school exclusion, court processes, or just need someone in your corner, we’re here to help make your voice heard and your rights respected. You're not alone.
